Prayer & Fasting Roadmap
For Limited 24-Hour Fast
We invite you to join us for a 24-hour time of prayer and fasting…from breakfast to breakfast. We suggest breaking your day into multiple segments. The aim is to refocus your attention on God; to prioritize feeding your soul over feeding your body; to draw spiritual nourishment from God, who is the ultimate sustainer of life.
During the fast you will limit your intake of food. You may prefer to completely abstain from all food. If so, it is recommended you still drink liquids such as water and/or juice. (Diabetics or those with physical limitations should take their conditions into consideration when fasting.)
Before you begin, consider the next day’s readings and how you’ll spend your time during the fast. This will help you make the most of your time. Consider using a notebook to journal any insights.
